Sato and the Elephants
By Max

Sato’s dad was good at carving white ivory, and he taught Sato these skills. Unfortunately, his dad died very early, and Sato started to carve ivory himself. When he made an ivory figure, he took it to a shop, which they can help him sell it out. Sato’s figures are very beautiful, so he got a lot of money, which he can buy another piece of ivory. But one week, when he wanted to buy some ivory, the shop doesn’t have any. After a few weeks, he finally got a piece of ivory, and he wanted to carve some animal. He was confused, and worked for many days and nights. Finally he slept, and he dreamed of many elephants beside him, and they were angry. They almost stepped on Sato, and that’s when Sato woke up. He finally made an elephant figure, but he didn’t sell it. He started to use some pieces of stone to carve his figures.

I think Sato shouldn’t use ivory for his figures. Ivory is cut of by elephants’ tusks, and is it worth to kill many elephants to make some figures. So I think that people before were too greedy, and kill many animals. Now we need to do most is to save our animals!
