Physical and Chemical Changes‏

Today is Wednesday, June 6th , 2007

Things Have Changed

Oh, no! You left your watercolor drawings outside overnight—and it rained! You dash outside to get them, but they have changed. What do your paints and paper look like now? What kind of change did the paints go through? What kind of change did the paper go through? Write a paragraph. Describe the difference between the changes to the paints and the changes to the paper. Give examples of other kinds of physical and chemical changes.

You must have a quick eye to the watercolors. So when it rained, the paper will become damp and wet. And the paints will fade.

Plants

Thursday, May 24, 2007
The flower's seeds are planted in the soil. Then it needs water, sun and co2 to make a seedling. Then it becomes a flower. After it dies, the seeds drop. The seeds can grow some flowers.
The trees may take fifty years to grow. It can even live one thousand years. The oldest tree in California-Nevada is 4767 years old!
This fact was in a book called (1001 cool freaky facts). Can anyone tell another fact of the trees to me? My e-mail address is -max2823988@gmail.com

I broke the fan and the chair‏

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

Yesterday I was so angry that I broke the fan and chair. My brother told me to stop playing computer but I didn’t. So he got angry and threw a chair at me. Then I threw another chair on the fan. The pieces flew out of the fan, and the chair broke. Now I have to pay $200 for the chair. I am sorry to crash it, and I promise I’ll never do that again.

Droughts‏

The drought is very bad. I think the land will become a desert. Do you know that 600,000 square miles on earth a year becomes desert? Scientists said that after 200 years, the world will all become deserts! I hope you aren't born in that time.
There is heavy rain after the droughts. I think it will become quicksand. So don't step on quicksand!

A Knot of Toads‏

Today is Wednesday, May 16th, 2007
Why people describe a knot of toads? Because I think their tongues will tie a knot! Here's a story:
One day there are two toads. They saw a insect and they wanted to eat it. But their tongues tie a knot!
How about a leap of leopards? Leopards can jump, so people call them a leap of leopards!
What about a school of fish? They can make a school. They can learn in a safe place. But how big fish ate the teacher? Tell me if you know the answer.

The Magic of Storytelling

Saturday, October 21st, 2006
Today was a really fun day! Today we have heard a story called “The great big enormous turnip”. The story started on 2:30. The speech had 90 minutes long. Actually, the audiences came in twos and threes to give a show after story time. The teller was a British woman. Her name is Cassandra. After the speech, she said we are brilliant! After that, we went to rock climbing. My brother and I went to play “Sky Climbing”. It was a climbing machine that tells you how fast your rock climbing is. We went on climbing. First we climbed a 3×7 square rock climbing. We went on with a 5×6 rock climbing with a rope. We tried a rock climbing 3 stories high! That was enormous! After the activities, we had to pick a card from the box. I got a toy from McDonald’s. And everything went on with happiness.

What a great day!!
